Top 100 Songs Of The Decade: “Building A Ship” – Linus Of Hollywood

Building A Ship
by Linus of Hollywood (2001)

In 2001,  I discovered Linus Of Hollywood.  He had just released his second CD, the soft pop masterpiece Let Yourself Be Happy, released on his own record label, Franklin Castle Recordings.  Later, Linus would go on to produce and release CD’s by other great artists, including Kim Fox and Mello Cads.

“Building A Ship” is pop, to be sure, but not the type you’d find on the top 40 charts.  Linus went on to release one more CD, but this one is still my favorite.  And where else can you hear a great pop song that includes a portion of  “Greensleeves.”  Weird, huh?
